“Antoinette has been my sister-friend for over a decade, but her professionalism was made very clear when she prepared a PowerPoint presentation for my husband and I during our first meeting. In the meetings that followed, we discussed my birth plan, fears, concerns, and her role as a doula. She always answered my questions no matter how silly or juvenile they may have sounded. “At the beginning of my pregnancy I was very interested by the thought of a doula. I procrastinated finding a doula but by the grace of God I found Antionette. At 38 weeks pregnant and the birth of my child being any day she was up to the challenge. With the time ticking and little time to prepare she was invested in making me feel comfortable and confident in my ability to deliver my baby. Before labor started she walked me through the process and explained to me different coping mechanisms for pain,  interventions, and definitions of medical terms I would hear while in the hospital. As my pregnancy came to an end she encouraged me to do exercises and nourish myself with different teas and snacks to prepare for the delivery of my baby. As we waited for my baby give us signs she was ready to be earthside Ant continuously checked on my moods and energy each day bringing us closer. When it was go time she was the first person I called and she quickly responded and gave me advice on how to proceed. During my labor she followed all of my desires and made me as comfortable as she could while I faced the discomfort of birth head on. Ant blended with my family and coached not only me but also them on the proper etiquette while I was dealing with discomfort. Ant stood on business and ensured I had the delivery I desired. During pushing she was amazing advocating for position changes & made sure to give me positive feedback. After my baby was delivered there was a complication and she did an excellent job reminding me to focus on my gorgeous baby girl instead of me focusing on the pain. She is amazing at what she does and is so passionate. 10/10 would highly recommend!”
